I never knew in 2010 that my strange symptoms would lead me to find out that I had thyroid cancer!! I had upper abdominal swelling and joint pain. (which I am having again and trying to figure out what it is). I asked the endo doctor if those were symptoms of the cancer and she said no, but that if it led me there then God does truly work in mysterious ways. Anyway it's been two years! YAY!
I had to have radioactive iodine treatment. It was funny because my husband works at a nuclear reactor...

We are constantly coming into contact with germs--be it our computer keyboard or telephone, the restroom doorknob, or the people we come into contact with--and often times we attempt to limit our exposure by using antibacterial soaps. These products leave us feeling assured we have dodged a germ bullet, especially when a product’s label claims it kills 99 percent of the microorganisms that lead to infectious diseases like the cold and flu.

This week, however,...

My Thyca Battle

Posted 12-02-2012 10:27 AM by Skiyrizer

Well I have been in quasi-remission now for 1 year and 6 months. I am going to celebrate at my 2 year anniversary very soon! What a trial this has been and one that has truely made me stronger both spirtually, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Although not everything is peachy... I am emotionally sensative right now because there is a trace amount of thyca left they found on ultrasound. My endo recommends to remove it while my surgeon says no, because it's so small and hard...

Hashimoto's & AutoImmune Disorder

Posted 06-27-2012 07:28 AM by Apache Kristy

I'm 20 and I have had a 'bad' thyroid since I was about 13. We figured that I would end up with Hypothyroid because my mother has it, as did her mother and her grandmother. Out of five children, I was the one that got it. And unfortunatly, I think my Little sister will too. But a few months ago, after YEARS of bouncing between dosage on thyroid medication, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease and AutoImmune Disorder. I'm still not 100% sure on what that means. My doctor (whom I actually liked...

I am so sick and not sleeping

I've been very sick with many diseases and disorders for quite awhile. I am so sick and not sleeping, evidently due to this hyperthyroidism whose cause hasn't been established. I'm intelligent, but I sound like I'm not when I lack sleep.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis, Hepatitis C, psoriatic arthritis, Type 2 Diabetes, Cirrhosis (from the Hep C) and my doctor has told me my thyroid is overactive, but he's given no real diagnosis on that yet. I'm tired of feeling crappy.
