Admissions of a Hypochondriac

Posted 04-24-2015 11:20 PM by W0438548

I'm Hannah. I'm admittedly a hypochondriac. I suffer from severe anxiety. I am here to talk about my problems with other people experiencing hypochondria. My hypochondria began when my mother started battling heart disease. I am only 24 years old. The only family I have is my mother and my sister who is disabled. I constantly think I have cancer. Ive thought I've had breast cancer, leukemia, brain cancer, melanoma, and am admittedly currently worrying I have throat cancer. My neck below my jaw has...

Story of my Wound - Accomplishment - Knitting

Posted 12-11-2014 04:00 AM by RABG

What an odd title, what does it mean? For me knitting gives me pleasure, a sense of worth, a goal, and then accomplishment.

I have been knitting for almost 40 years and in that time I have had my own business, designed endless Christmas stockings, knit for others, and then finally for me.

I quickly learned from my PD waiting room that so many people are defined by their pain or condition. I decided that wasn't for me. I had to have something that would give me a sense...

A Revelation(of sorts)

Posted 03-10-2013 08:18 AM by Phoenix

It's been a while since I posted here and there's so much to be said but i'll keep this concise and to the point.
I've finally found something that makes sense to me and not one of my family members is behind me in my endeavor.
I'm told i'll lose money and am tired of the constant:"be careful" along with offering me their own advice.
What I need to do,for me,is to venture out on my own and do what I feel comfortable enough doing.
Nothing ventured,nothing gained....

After taking my first round of moviprep last night and actually gagging back my last sip of the dose, I panicked at the thought of having to have another round the next day (today). So, I read through about 4 pages of blogs on different sites and a few people mentioned lemons. I thought about how "back in the day" lemon did an amazing job clearing up the horrible taste of tequila, and thought, why not try it. So, I cut up a small lemon in quarters.
And had a small glass of coke(4oz)...

Merry Meet folks,

I had a partial UPPP with a Tonsillectomy & Uvulectomy on January 10th, 2012 and it has changed my life for the better!! I'm so happy the soft food/liquid diet I was on, during my recovery, gave me a much needed kick start to lose weight. I lost 8 pounds my first week & a half after surgery and a total of 21 pounds since surgery.

I have struggled with my weight for a long time. It's not that I don't eat right because I eat well and healthy....
