Sciatic Pain

Posted 01-27-2011 10:16 PM by MrBurton

Sciatic pain is a symptom of an overall problem. Muscle imbalances are the chief culprit. Some dedicate it to DDD or other diseases. For a few people it may very well be. But most sciatic pain begins after a trauma, like a tragic accident or a minor slip that starts a spiraling pain down the lower back and into the thigh. Sometimes sciatic pain is just another form of low back pain right on top of the buttocks.

Whatever the case or symptoms maybe it is easy to eliminate the pain initially and get some long lasting relief. Stretching your piriformis muscle helps a few, initially. While trigger point therapy would help others instantly. For long term relief a combination of a chiropractor and strength training regemin would be appropriate. Correcting these imbalances is crucial to getting pain releif.. permanently.
