Sigh of Relief!

Posted 02-05-2011 08:13 PM by patientlywaitn

Got my HSG done on Friday and what a relief to have it over with! I started out excited to be moving on with the process of finding out the cause of our conception troubles but as the day got closer I found myself getting more and more nervous - I didn't know what it would feel like and what kind of results to expect. But I had the most wonderful staff! The nurse was great and talked and laughed with me the whole time. Then the doc and the woman that was assisting her came in and were just as much fun - it really set my mind at ease. The procedure itself went very well. Ii only had pain when the catheter was inserted and it was mostly because I was nervous - the rest was totally comfortable (or as comfy as these things can be lol). I watched on the screen as the dye moved along. One tube was fairly well open and had spillage after slight pressure; the other required the doc to put a good deal more pressure but then...spillage! So both tubes opened and the uterus looks fine! The other piece of info I got from the experience is that I have a tilted cervix; otherwise, they were all very optimistic and wished us well!! Fingers are crossed and praying God will be with us : )
