Dr. visit after one month...

Posted 10-29-2010 07:41 AM by patty6789

Well I went to the dr. yesterday for a one month checkup after diagnosed with diabetes.

I have lost 5 pounds (45 to go) and my sugar is down and my blood pressure is good.

It was a good day.

I am still missing some of my old favorites, Big Boy's, Whopper's, etc. But I will stay the course and continue to stay off of meds.:)

If Only They Understood

Posted 10-27-2010 09:03 PM by greatoldthings

I’ve had chronic pain in my left hip and leg and lower back for the past 7 years. I am not a hypochondriac, I am not a head case, I am not imagining this. So please don’t judge me.

Being sick and in pain does not mean that I’m not human, I am very much so a human, just one that suffers. And just because I am happy some days does not mean...

Stool seems normal now?

Posted 10-26-2010 11:40 AM by goodmommyof2

So for about a week now I have had fairly loose green stool. I have watched my diet to make sure that i don't eat something artificially colored that might do that. The stool was at first very mucousy and very dark green. Then they began to be lighter green and now within normal color range. I think this is related to the radioactivity but I am not sure? Nonetheless I am relieved it is done now. I was thinking that maybe it was due to the emptying of my thyroid after ablation. Since green stool...

Yesterday was bad, hope today is better

Posted 10-26-2010 04:57 AM by jcrosser

I just ate and ate yesterday and did absolutely nothing. I had no clients at work and I am glad that I didn't because I felt like a horrible person. I have just been feeling so down on myself lately. I don't know why I go through these periods of self hatred. Is there something wrong with me? I feel depressed, is this depression? I know I would never kill myself, but sometimes I wish I were dead. Sometimes I think I inherited bad mental health genes from my mother (who is schizophrenic)....
