Hi all - I am new!
I have been visiting my GP since early November 2014 and have had 4 bloods done to date. Each time my results come back my white blood cells have been slightly raised; after my last results my GP has referred me to Haematology! I questioned what this was and he stated they are blood specialists and can look in to leukemia etc, my referral was a no-urgent referral (6 weeks waiting). Anyway I have had a few other symptoms including constantly itchy all over my body with no visual rash, tiredness, recently itchy eyes, stomach pain, bowel changes, heart palpitations (I have had a 24 hour ecg which picked ip missed heart beats), 2 nights ago back pain near kidneys and just generally feeling off!
I am not thinking it is any form of cancers as I believe the GP would have not made me wait so long for an appointment?
I am wondering if anyone can help with what I should expect on my first visit to Haematology? and if anyone has experienced similar if not the same symptoms?
