    Phlebotomy question

Does it contaminate a blood sample if the phlebotomist removes tube cap and transfers blood? I saw one do this recently when i had my blood drawn for a test. The blood was to be drawn into a levender tube. She used a butterfly and once the tube was pierced, the blood wouldn’t flow. The phlebotomist then tried on the other arm using the same pre-pierced tube and the blood wouldn’t suction in. So she proceeded to fill a red cap tube and then use a dropper to move the blood from that tube to the lavender tube. I’m concerned that the lab won’t be able to study my blood properly once received and that results will be flawed. Any advice?
