Recently diagnosed with Prothrombin Gene Mutation 20210

I went to the ER with severe pain in my abdominal area. They did CT scans and found that my Portal Vein is full of blood clots and I spent 18 days in the hospital. They diagnosed me with Prothrombin Gene Mutation and told me that it's too dangerous to bust the clots up. I'm looking for anyone that knows more about this condition or knows of a special clinic that deals with rare blood disorders. I was a perfectly healthy 28 year until now and I worry every day. They have put me on blood thinners for the rest of my life to prevent anymore clotting. They say only 4% have this disorder, so they don't have a lot to go by in helping me.
