    bone in throat (hyoid?)
    okay this is gonna sound stupid but does your hyoid bone move around on its own??? I have had a problem with choking lately, food and fluids. it feels like something is in my throat and there is a bone in my neck that moves i have felt it move and then am able to move it with my hand wiggle it around, it grinds and makes noises etc. my husband was totally freaked out and thought I should see a doctor but i was wondering if its just the hyoid bone??? anyone know anything about moving throat bones.

    Hi there, it sounds like what I have been reading about the thyroglossal duct cyst. It is said to move, mine doesn't but is supposed to. It is not life threatening or anything so maybe....

    thanks deena, i'll check out the cyst thingy lol. I didn't want to go to a doctor to be told well dah its your hyoid and its suppose to do that. I thought maybe his bone was abnormal cause it didn'tmove lol.
