Spontaneous fractures of foot
Anyone have any ideas. My mother has had now 2 spontaeous fractures of the same foot. She had a bone density scan in the last 8 mo that showed normal bone. Better for her age, 78 yrs old. She has severe bunions. These fractures are of "longer bones of the foot". Ortho doctor just says she must have forgotten something she did with a fracture that severe. My mother is still very active, not forgetful. Could the severe bunions or foot deformity that follows, contribute to these fractures?
