    What's Happening

Colostomy patient 8 weeks in, a left Hemicolectomy and have noticed that I am passing stones every few days or so. Some are yellow which I can crush, others are gray and hard. This usually happens with ileostomies and some intestional resections from what I read. I notice that i have a slight burning pain not bad , it just lasts for a minute and later I may find a stone in the osmotic bag. Have contacted the surgeon and waiting for him to answer back. Has anyone had this issue?

    Dear Louise,

Can you also call your GP to ask?
    Or go to Urgent Care?

I think burning pain when passing a stone is common.
Let us know what you find out.

Itís like a sting, only lasts a few seconds. I am not in any distress really. I did also contact my GI guys.
