Help!!!

I've been having certain problems for the past few months and I don't know what to make of them. Everyday I have loose stools no matter what. I've had water come out when it first started, but its now its mostly formed, but its loose. Every few days(3-6 days) I have to go to more than once a day. I usually take Imodium after that. The look of the stool varies, but they are formed. I'll try my best to describe them. The stool may be as long as worms, but thicker, little peanut like shapes, or some pieces together in a mushy form. I have on and off light headedness. I seem to lose a pound or two every day or two. Although, I've made some slight diet changes. I still eat certain fatty foods, but not like I use to and I eat a lot of dry stuff. I've had some stool tests done for Bacteria and viruses that came out normal. Is it true that blood can be deteced in any type of stool tests? What should I make of all this? I'm very scared!

Re: Help!!!

It is not true that blood can be detected in every stool.
It sounds like you need to intake more fiber in your diet. Everybody needs fiber for their intestines to function properly--- 20 to 35 grams daily. Both soluble as well as insoluble--- all fiber certainly is not the same.

You can get it in food mostly with a diet change and along with a water soluble fiber supplement. The average person only gets about 13 grams daily.

I wish you well---H

Re: Help!!!

Thanks for the reply! Do you know if it can be detected when testing for ova and parasites, stool culture and stool WBC? Somebody told me that is the case, especially with the stool WBC.

Re: Help!!!

I have no idea??
I know very little about and have read very little about stool cultures. I just never have had the need.
