Post Citrucel

Is it alright to use Citrucel daily. I am confused about what is alright to use long term. I don't think its considered a laxative. It really helps keep me regular.

Thanks for any advise!

Yes, it perfectly OK to use both Citracel and Metamucil to keep you regular.

Re: Citrucel

I was wondering, does citracel cause your stool to become light in color (light brown to yellow or clay orangish) and is the stool loose semi formed? I have been on citracel 2x day to try to regulate my bowels and I have 2-3 movements per day. Some times normal in size sometimes smaller.

Re: Citrucel

I didn't have good luck with Citrucel at all. I was regular, but I had poorly formed stool sometimes, and it didn't add bulk. Metamucil works a lot better for me, aside from some excess gas.

Re: Citrucel

I agree It is OK to take Citrucel or Metamucil daily as a water soluble fiber supplement-- just follow the directions about the amount of water to drink with each dose!!
