Im ver concerned....what can this be?

I've been bleeding ALOT during a bowel movement. Even sometimes when i am just urinating. I have no pain----years ago i had hemeroids during pregnacy, and had them removed inside and out! I dont see anything on the outside. I have an appointment with a gasterologist (?spelling) on the 1st! This is really concerning me.....does anyone know what else could cause this, and should i be alarmed??? This has been going on for months, it's getting worse, and happening every day! I have put off going to the doc, cuz im embarrased, and i really didnt know what type of doc you see for this problem. My gynecologist gave me a referral.........im anxious to find out what is going on! Im also concerned, cuz for many many years i would "hold" from using the bathroon............for hours!!!!! I wont go in a public restroom-----i know this is crazy, i think i have a "mental" issue with it! Maybe i have damaged my insides?????????????

Re: Im ver concerned....what can this be?

Hi Princess72,

I am experiencing the same symptoms that you just described in your posting. However, I've had 2 colonoscopies this year, one in Jan. 05', and one in July 05', because I was bleeding. The doc removed polyps, and told me that I had internal hemroids. He also told me that my internal hemroids were so small that a surgeon would not touch them. Well, here it is Oct. 05', and I'm still bleeding. So you know that I'm freaking out. I am so nervous, and stressed out, because I don't know what could be causing the bleeding. Did your doctor give you any ideas of what may be going on? Did he examine you? Please keep me posted on your progress.

Re: Im ver concerned....what can this be?

Hi Princess,

Well I'm 34. Why didn't your primary doc do a rectal exam? Even with a rectal exam they would be able to tell you if they see anything (not a lot). With the amount of blood your losing, I would defintely have a colonoscopy. Please do not allow them to talk you out of having one, because this will be the only way to rule out anything else.

Take care of yourself, and keep me posted

July
