virtual colonoscopy or regular one?

i mean, are there any advantages to VC oppose to the regular one besides comfort?

Re: virtual colonoscopy or regular one?

honestly... i'd go ahead and do the regular colonoscopy.

the virtual colonsocopy can be just as uncomfortable when they pump your colon up with air.... you still have to prep the same (which most say is the worst part of the colonoscopy) so it just makes sense to get the regular colonoscopy done..

if something was found on a VC, you would have to have a regular colonsocopy anyways... say, a polyp...

based on the fact you still have to prep, there might be even more discomfort, and the fact you might have to get a regular one done afterwards anyways... i'd definitely recommend the colonoscopy over the VC.

Re: virtual colonoscopy or regular one?

they can treat and extract polyps directly in the colonoscopy right?

Re: virtual colonoscopy or regular one?

I'm not convinced that the VD is anywhere near accurate.
