Concern over BM..HELP!

Ok, not sure this is the right board. ANd this is quite disgusting and embarassing. Ok, For the last 2 full days I have had a somewhat upset stomach. A lot of BM's. But they are not normal at all. Very soft and small and the thing that concerns me is there is like a white mucousy coating around it like hanging onto it. I know this is so gross but I do not have health ins and am concerned that this is a problem. I also had severe nausea the 1st 24 hours or so. I thought perhaps food poisoning. I had a can of soup that tasted off..ANy ideas? I am quite concerned. Thanks.

sounds like you got a virus or a bacteria, or you ate some food your belly didn't like. I would think this would go away. Mucus is what your seeing in your stool, it can be normal if your sick. If you don't get better or things get worse you might want to see a doctor.

Re: Concern over BM..HELP!

Thanks..Well, I definitely think its from teh soup I ate..It jsut concerned me because I have never experienced this before. BTW, it is still happening. The bm's aren't as soft and are not as frequent but still with the mucous like encasing it..I feel much better as well. Just occasional feeling of a tummy ache. I am able to eat and everything..I really think that soup did it because after I ate it I felt awful but I also felt like I wanted to eat as much as possible to get rid of the taste..
