    Question Long loopy bowel

My wife has spent the last two days suffeing two sachets of Picolax that hardly worked at all, so the colonoscopy yesterday was abandoned after taking biopsies from two polyps at the start of the colon, and then two more sachets of Picoloax - which did work this time - to prep her for a barium enema today.

The radiologist explained he had to use extra air and barium, as she has a "long loopy bowel". We've read some people are just born like it.

Does anyone know what problems this may cause, what we need to do if going back for a colonoscopy to actually remove the polyps - like get extra sedation?

Is a long loopy bowel more prone to problems than an ordinary one?

    Thanks
