Teen son with Bathroom problems

I have a 13 yr old son. He has been through alot in his life. Living with alcholic parent,parents divorce,death of his father and moving to a new state. He is urinating on the floor in his bedroom and in the bathtub while he is in the bathroom. Now I have found that he has taken a bowel movement in the bathroom on the floor, not even near the toilet. Im scared to death that there is something very wrong with him. I have contacted his therapist, but wondered if anyone else has had this problem or even heard of it before. Thanks you for any help you may have.

Yes, I asked him lots of questions like is he mad at me for leaving his dad and is he mad at his dad for dying asked about school,bullies,ect. He said no to all my questions and I asked him what he was thinking of right before he did this and he said he cant remember.

do you make him clean it up?
i think if he has to clean it up, he might think twice next time.
i don't think it's a physical problem that he can't control

I have not made him clean it up. will try that. Thanks, Im just scared that its a mental problem since he says he cant remember. He has adhd and odd as well as all the things he has lived through, and now this. I wish his therapiest would call me soon.

odd? isn't that oppositional defiant disorder?
that's what I was thinking that he was being defiant.....
yes definately make him clean it up.....
does he do that at school?
defecate or urinate in an inappropropriate place?
I bet he doesn't......he's being defiant to you.....
you need to put your foot down

It might just be a phase but you certainly want to look into Encopresis.
