    Post Hemorrhoid banding question

So I am one week removed from the procedure. I had 4 bands put on and it was pretty uncomfortable for about 48 hours. Not so bad now. I still prolapse a little after each BM. Is this normal? Is it possible that one has still not fallen off or is it swelling from the trauma of the surgery? Overall, I am much better. No more prolapsing at all during the day. I suspect I may need another session but now that I know what to expect it's fine.

If anyone has any answers for me on this please post!

Remember, if you don't eat a high fiber diet, and drink a lot of water, & little caffeine, they will come back. Banding is only a temporary fix, and one bad meal will cause them to come back. I had it done 5 times, three bands each time, and they always came back. My diet was the only thing that cured them. And if I eat something that has no fiber, I have to drink a heaping teaspoon of Konsyl to make up for it. There is no surgical cure for a constipation problem. Once you have it, it's with you for life.
