Brain function limited in elderly relative following injury.

    Hello,

My elderly relative is in the hospital with a brain injury. He is not able to open his eyes or talk or walk. His other body parts such as the heart, lungs, kidney, liver are all functioning. Is there any way to treat his condition either a surgery or medicine or any other option?

It depends what is the etiology of his condition. He could have subarachnoid hemmorhage, intracerebral haemathoma, or maybe chronic subdural haemathoma. Of he was not operated he will probably be treated consevatevely. It would be helpful if you can post his CT findings so i can see what is descrobed, also did he get better from the period ou wrote this post?
