Angry My brain has swelling... I'm beyond fear...

    Hello,

I think I can get an answer or a few here. I have had CT scans that reveal the fact that I have frequent strokes. I don't know what kind but they happen daily now. One CT scan revealed some kind of carbon monoxide poisoning, and a lesion of some kind. Still, yet another revealed an arachnoid cyst right next to my pituitary gland causing my Prolactin levels to be high also adding to pitting edema.

I do have difficulty with mobility, Neuropathy, Spinal Stenosis and other ailments.

What is bothering me most, is the brain swelling. My entire head is in pain, swollen and is tender to the touch in some places. I feel nauseated most of the time. This pain even makes my teeth feel like they are hurting but I know its at a tissue level. At the cerebellum area I have swelling that protrudes out and runs clear down to my neck. I can't put any pressure on my head because it feels like it will explode. My face on the right side feels numb. It feels like it goes to sleep or has severe weakness. With rest the feeling comes back. My eye twitches a lot and eventually closes and I have to struggle to open it. If, I can get it to open. Sometimes I find it hard to focus. Its like I have no concentration or I loose my thought in the process of doing something. I have been having teeth clenching seizures, the roof of my mouth feels swollen and just past my chin under my tongue the muscles get tired when I try to eat. I have also been having problems forming words at times even though I know what I want to say. Sometimes I wake up not knowing that I had fallen asleep. The pain at the back of my head causes me to pass out occasionally. What's scary about it is the involuntary movement I'm experiencing. My head quickly bobs around in any way of direction and no matter what I do I can't stop it. It stops on its own eventually.

I'm afraid to go to the emergency room due to all of the recent mistakes, especially regarding the brain in these parts. I don't know which radiology facility to trust because the last time I had a scan they put me in a machine that shook my head really fast, and wobbled me all over the place. It was really painful and loud. When they finally let me out, even though I knew what I wanted to say I couldn't get any words out, I could only scream I was in so much pain. I screamed for 5 hours because that is all I knew how to do at the time. I could clearly think but I couldn't function. My friends and relatives had no idea what to do.

If I knew of a doctor that I could trust, that is willing to listen and get me the safe help I need I would go. Until then, I'm in a dangerous zone. It may sound stupid but I would rather risk dying on my own than to be killed by negligence or on purpose.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

OK I finally went to the hospital because I couldn't handle the pain anymore or the numbness in my face. I told them that I didn't want any medication. They did ask if I was willing to take medications for strokes if that is what I was having and I agreed. I gained a lot of information.

The doctor took note of my sagging face and drooping eye. They did two CT scans with and without dye.

Now... I have been having teeth clenching seizures for a couple of years but never the head bobbing and swelling and certainly not with so much excruciating pain nor the numbness on the right side of my face.

When the scans came back he said I wasn't having a stroke but a different type of seizure. The doctor at the hospital seems to think this is also some kind of seizure? What?

MY blood pressure when I arrived was 214/142 Wow now that is scary. I had taken my blood pressure medication 45 minutes earlier. It would drop down and then climb back up.

I have never felt my smile upside down before. Whenever they asked me to smile it felt like my smile was pulling downward rather that up, it felt like something was holding my right cheek in place and my eye would barely move. I could not even lift my eyebrows my forehead was and still is numb down to the bridge of my nose.

This "seizure" comes and goes. It lasts for a few days sometimes only for several hours. I have no idea what kind it is or what could cause it.
What on earth kind of seizures could there possibly be that cause head pain and swelling, top of the head facial and right side numbness, severe high blood pressure and can cause unconsciousness?

The doctor couldn't tell me what kind of seizures I'm having so I have to see a Neurologist as soon as I can. He told me within the next three days but there are no appointments available until early January. I do have an appointment.

Any ideas about what kind of seizure could cause all of these things?

I also found out why I was put in that machine that shook my head and body so violently. They should have told me. However, that is all I'm willing to say about that at this time.

The choice is yours; I would go to a ER and let them know what is going on.
If you have a large hospital near by that would be the choice that I would go too. Espically if there is one that has a huge program for your condition or medical situation.

They would be the experts if you ask me - others my not rate as well. Go to where the experts are if that is practical or if it is easy access. IT is your life and you need to do what works for you. Listen to your body - I have a situation going on myslef but it is not near the condition that I have.

Do what you think you need to do - or someone in the family that can help you make a rational decesion for the best thing for your health...

I wish you the best fo luck

Thank you Roy47... I appreciate the assist. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. I'll see what happens from there.

OK I went to the doctor and they refused to schedule an MRI or a CT scan. Does anyone have any idea how I can request both without having to have a PCP referral?
