    Question Pseudotumor Ceribri/Shunt surgery

My name is Peggy, I am 46/F
Just a week ago I had VP Shunt surgery. It's been over a year in the making and I am really relieved that it came and finally went.
I go back to UCLA to get my staples and stiches removed in a few days.
Now that I am home I am finding life a bit hard. My memory is not very good. (And it wasn't that good before the surgery...but seems a little worse, oh god have I aged more too?).
So here I am learning about life after the Shunt.
Will I have headaches? Will they be the same?
Is there anyone out there in my same situation?

Hi Peggy, my name is Cindy.
How are you doing now that several months have passed since your surgery?
I have a VP shunt too.
Mine has been in for over 10 years now. So far, so good!
I'm 42 now....32 when I had surgery. I've actually never talked with another adult who's had to have this done, so I was really excited when I stumbled upon this website. I'd love to hear more from you. :
