| What the heck is wrong with me? Many symptoms
24 year old male. It feels like my body systems are shutting down....
1) Weakness - mainly in my thighs and arms. My fine motor skills in my hands especially seem to have decreased. My joints are stiff there.
I did 20 pushups (something I could do many sets of just 1 month ago) and could barely lift my arms for an hour afterwards.
2) Cold hands - freezing cold. My right hand is always cold. Most of the time my left hand is as well. Also, I get cold so much easier than I used to -- and get the chills more often. (without fever)
3) Trouble with BM's and a lot of gas build up.
4) Felt like I was going "paralyzed" today. I could feel tightness in my cheeks when I smiled. My legs felt so uncoordinated.
5) Tinnitus in ears has gotten much, much worse. Add to that - it sounds like there is a thumping in my right ear every once in a while (pulsatile tinnitus - but not a ringing sound).
6) Edges of text and images are blurry. After-images are lasting longer.
7) Complete loss of appetite.
I just feel like I'm dying.
I've had CMP and CBC run on both 12/1 and 12/13, and both were completely normal. Checked for Celiac and thyroid issues - both showed up normal.
Normal EKG on 12/1.
I have TMJ and I'm taking Wellbutrin for anxiety. I do have a good amount of anxiety (and have had it for years -- if it was the culprit, why would it manifest itself now - no major changes in life!)

If you live in the eastern US, were you tested for Lyme disease?
As far as feeling cold, could it be the result of decreased activity due to your other problems?
I do sometimes get tight cheeks and weak hands just as a result of the constant severe muscle spasms in my neck. I do a lot of stretches and get massages and it helps.
Hope you get some answers!

Hi you are welcome. Has the MRI reader made any comments about the MRI or the doctor?

Not as of yet. The doctor will receive them in the morning. I am literally going crazy because I don't know how to read it and the bright white areas (among other things) scare me.

Hi is the visual snow more prevalent in one eye than the other?

Nope, just "static" in both eyes. Kind of like millions of tiny sparkles. When I look at the sky they are very visible. They actually look like little single cell worms swimming around.
They are not floaters -- they move independently. I do have some floaters, which move in the direction of my head movement.
I have severe TMJ in my right jaw.

Hi Perhaps in the morning there would be interest in telling us what the doctor said and what the MRI reports were.
