    post concussion syndrome

Hello, so far I haven't found any clear answers about my possible concussion. I should tell you what happened. My head met with a steel support beam when I was turning around, probably at the same speed or less, as a netballer pivetting. It basically smacked against it but my head did not bounce off. I might be overexagerating this description, but I was the only one around, and that's just what it felt like. However, it might have felt worse than it was. It hit hard enough to make the beam ring loudly for a couple of seconds though. I came to terms that I just hit my head, walked away and my vision went blank, for no longer than one second. I understand that was caused by equilibrium. So far, I've only been told gloom and doom, that I suffered a concussion, my injury will be lifelong, and I need to see disability cousellors at university. I was tired after, and slept for an hour, watched a movie, was coherant, functioning properly, no headache, no dizziness, no ringing in the ears, nothing like that, just an overall restless feeling probably. I did have a very bad anxiety attack that night though. But I didn't have many problems in the 5 days after. On day 6 though, I began feeling out of it and detached, overwhelmed by noise and over stimulation. This could have been brought on by a herbal medication I was taking, called 'Anxiety Aid.' A week later the detached feeling grew worse, and I began feeling disorientated in new surroundings, and was having difficulty concentrating while reading. I began having memory problems, and felt as if my mind was relapsing. I stopped taking the medication, and an overall weird feeling remained. I then grew anxious about that 'feeling' or derealization, and developed quite a severe anxiety disorder. The feeling grew worse and worse and the anxiety started affecting my entire body, heart palpitations, stomach upset, fatigue, messy and unreliable thought process. I couldn't study convinced I had damage to my brain. I began having difficulty sleeping, and became a complete nervous wreck. I became very depressed. Because of all this, I felt 'foggy' and my brain was not functioning properly, at all. The thing that confuses me is that I had absolutely no physical symptoms of PCS, no headaches whatsoever, and these things only came on when I started taking Anxiety Aid. I need some opinions on whether or not there was an initial concussion, and if so post concussion syndrome. The anxiety lasted about 3 months though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
