black pinpricks in field of vision

hi everybody,
i've recently developed a new phenomena in both eyes--a slightly yellowed roundish translucent spot with bright black dots within it--the yellowish spot is in center vision in both eyes and i can bring on the spots when i blink. i've had this about ten days. i went to my opthamologist who did a retinal scan and a macular scan and found nothing of interest. he said because it appeared equally in both eyes that it might be originating in my brain--of course i immediately thought tumor but i wondered if anyone has this condition strange as it is. i have floaters and this is not the same thing.
any ideas?

Has this improved for you at all? Did you ever find out what it was? I have had something similar for the past few days. I notice it when I blink the most.
