Hit in the chest, should I be worried?

So a few minutes ago my brother threw a bottle of water at me and it hit me in the middle of the chest, more so to the left a little right above my heart of course. I got the wind knocked out of me and I started to get really nervous, iím always hearing about sports injuries where someone got hit in the chest and suffered complications. It doesnít hurt that bad but if i take a deep breath in it hurts, i can sort of feel it in my lower back and right above my heart.

Itís a sunday so my Dr office is closed, should I be concerned at all? It was only an 8 oz bottle of water. Is there anything i should be on the lookout for?

You should be fine...a bottle of water should not cause any problems. You may be bruised and bruises can cause minor pain...if it lasts more than 24 hours, call your doctor; otherwise just relax...this isnt the type of injury which can cause big damage!

Thank you! It was probably just my anxiety flaring up I woke up today without even a bruise.
