    Is this a chemical burn?

I've been looking all over the internet and I can't find anything that sounds like what I have.
I was cleaning at work with industrial bleach. I used gloves, for the most part, I probably used it without gloves at some point.
My skin on my hand looks black. It doesn't hurt and it isn't itchy or anything, but I don't know what else it could be.

Being that there's no pain or discomfort, that's a good sign. As far as your hand looking black, that could be dead skin. Of all the many chemical-burn symptoms, it's strange that you only have one (black skin). It's fairly certain that you experienced a chemical burn or reaction of some kind. There may have been another chemical mixed in with the bleach? Bleach alone usually causes the skin to get lighter or causes redness.

The information I found says black skin indicates dead skin. As long as there's no pain or discomfort, you might just wait and see if those skin cells get replace with new skin cells.

Another option would be to call "poison control" or ask-a-nurse. Almost every hospital has someone available to answer questions in an emergency.
