    Shin swelling for 10days .

I was wondering whether anyone can give me some advice. I fell off my horse 10days ago, I fell into one of the jumps bumping my shin. It has been very bruised and swollen for nearly 10days . The bruising is fading , but there is a large lump (half my shin) still there. It's tender to touch, and stings sometimes.
Should I go to the doctors ? Or a & e for a X-ray to see if there was a fracture ? I can walk now , but for the first three days it's was very difficult. But, is it too late to do anything now .. Should I just leave it ?

    Thanks in advance !
