The lower urinary tract was carefully examined. The procedure was well-tolerated and without complications. Antibiotic instructions were given. Instructions were given to call the office immediately for bloody urine, difficulty urinating, urinary retention, painful or frequent urination, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting or other illness. Re: bladder cancer

Everything depends on both the stage and the grade of the tumor. I had bladder CA in 2005, but it was staged as TA (barely there, lower even than stage one) and a grade 2 (out of 4 grades.) Surgery was all that was needed, although I was followed with cystoscopies every three months first year, every six months second through 5th year. I'm now down to once every 18 months.

As for the grade, the higher grades, even at extremely low stages, are considered more aggressive and would probably require more treatment. So, without a stage and a grade, I can't really even guess at more info for you. Also, I just realized...were you diagnosed but have not yet had surgery?
