    Chemo not recommended

The oncologist didn't recommend chemo. He said the benefit for me would be 3% to 5% for me. He said chemo has lots of side effects and some occur later on. He said the risk of the cancer recurring is 10% to 15% up until 5 years. After that the risk goes down even further. I see an oncologist every 3 months, get my cea(tumor marker) tested every 3 months, get a ct scan every 6 months, and a colonscopy once a year for the first two years. After that testing is more spaced out. I am very relieved that I don't need to do chemo!
