    Very Worried ... Please Advise

I had a mammogram yesterday. I can see my health portal and it says, Left Asym.

Then I saw the letter report. It said finding that requires further evaluation. Left Breast.

Then it says I have very dense breasts and I will need to speak with my health care provider about how to proceed.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? How did this experience progress and what was the outcome?

By law now most states require them to tell you if you have dense breasts. That's so you know that it may be difficult to see everything because of the density. I've had that on mine for a number of years. The asymetrical issue may just be that the one breast is denser and larger therefore than the other. So it is probably all benign but it is good to check with your gyno and see if she would like you to have an ultrasound or some other testing. If 3D mammos are available in your area, switch to that in the future. Better resolution.

I know many women with dense breast tissue are actually having MRIs for a cleaner diagnostic image, the question is whether or not your insurance will cover it for a preventive scan
