'flat' lump in breast

hi, I found a lump in my right breast... But it's kind of long... And more of a flat lump... It's not painful, and it is hard and does not move around, but it's fairly noticeable and big (as in it goes across most of my breast). I went to the dr and she told me it doesn't feel like it's in my breast tissue but that it's more on my chest wall and she thinks my rib may have just disloged and that's what I'm feeling and to come back if it gets bigger and they'll send me for imaging tests. But it's already fairly big, I'm worried if it gets bigger and if it's anything, it would be already an advanced stage? I'm just wondering if should get a second opinion? Or has anyone else experienced the same type of thing? The lump isn't what I hear most breast cancer lumps described as so I have no idea if I'm just over stressing about nothing. And I'm only 24 so the chances of it being anything would probably be very low?

Hey, I was wondering if you ever found out what the cause of this was? Your problem sounds exactly like mine. I went to the dr today and they are sending me for a mammogram just to be safe. She said it she doesnt think it is cancer and that it could be my chest wall. I have scoliosis and one side of my back is fuller so its possible my chest is the same way. Obviously I am freaking out though I am only 21 and never thought I could have breast cancer!

I went to my family doctor and they did an xray and said they think its just my rib dislodged into my chest wall and is causing the lump but they went ahead and sent me for an ultrasound and they told me the same thing... that its my rib... weird! hopefully yours will end up okay also!

Hi, just curious whether you got any sound results to feel happy with? I too have the same problem, and also have have scoliosis as sg1112 has too, but its a flat and irregular shaped lump just above my left Brest and slightly under the breast. Its growing as well. Thanks for your post, been looking for a long time for something similar to read up on!
