Breast Tingling sensation

I am just wondering if anyone out there has had any instances where their breast has tingling sensations but it turned out to be nothing? I have been having these sensations for a few months now. No drainage, no pain, no discoloration, nothing. Just sporatic tingling that lasts only a second. I went in to my GP yesterday for a full breast exam and she found absolutely nothing. I am having a partial mammogram tomorrow to be safe, but has anyone else out there had this? I had a partial Hysterectomy 3 years ago and wondered if it was a weird quirky thing.... or if I should be worried since Breast cancer runs in both sides of my family

Re: Breast Tingling sensation

I am glad you checked this out with your doctor and by now you have had a mammogram. It is difficult to say if these random sensations that occure are a sign of something bad. Having had breast cancer, the breast affected did have sensations.... itching, tingling. I, too, had regular mammograms and ultrasounds that didn't show anything.... until I felt a lump. It is so important for women to be aware of their bodies. What is normal and what isn't. Realistically, you can't keep running back to the doctor with each tiny little thing. It is so vital you do monthly self-breast exams, the same time each month. This is how I found my breast cancer even after regular mammograms. The mammogram and U/S never picked up this cancer. Take a look at the symptoms of breast cancer, if you feel there is something in question do not hesitate to have it checked. This is especially important since you have breast cancer in your family. I did NOT but still got breast cancer. You have to be on top of things and realize there are certain breast cancer that do not present as a lump. Just know your body, and question something that has changed. Take care, Sharon
