do they always check for fluid on U/S?

I was just wondering if anyone knows, do they always check for fluid when they do a pelvic u/s? If there were ascities would they see it? I am dealing with complex cysts, have some of the symptoms of OC although it could also be from the cyst? I have diarrhea, some tenderness in the pelvis, etc, but can't tell if i'm bloated... I did have an u/s last week and there was no mention of fluid. I always have had a bit of a tummy so I really can't tell if it's fluid or just my regular flabby belly.
