cervical dysplasia returned - anyone else been through this?

I had LEEP done in 2004 as I had moderate dysplasia. (I was 37) I had the follow pap smears and within a year, I had an abnormal one again so I went back to the same specialist who did the LEEP. He was very reluctant to remove anymore tissue and wanted to wait a few months to see if it would resolve itself. It did so I'm assuming it was LSIL.

I've had annual pap smears ever since then and no problems until September 2017. The result was abnormal (LSIL) and my doctor said I need to come back in 6 months for a follow up and every 6 months until the 2 year mark of the abnormal result.
I went for my follow up a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting for test results (it takes 4-6 weeks to get results back in Canada) and I can't help but worry.

Is it common to have LEEP done again the second time around? According to the biopsy report, the specialist removed around 1 cm.
My concern is my age (51) and if it will be harder for me to fight off the HPV. (I'm not sexually active)
I've taken the pill off and on over the years and I took it for almost 2 years (2015-2017) to ease the heavy bleeding and perimenopause symptoms.
Is there a link between bcp and cervical dysplasia?

Thanks to this forum, I've gotten great information and I definitely need to build up my immune system. I don't smoke, I exercise regularly but I need to work on getting more sleep.
Is there anything else I should be doing?
