Post Leep Bleeding/Period Question

For those of you who had a leep, did your period come sooner in your cycle?

I had my Leep 10 days ago. I started my period (I think) on day 18 when I usually have a 28 day cycle. I never had any red bleeding prior to now. I don't know if maybe the blood is coming from my cervix? I did have sex the night before with my doc's Ok. He said to wait a week, maybe I should have waited longer.

Now I don;t know if it is my period or bleeding from my cervix...any clues? Thanks guys!!

I haven't had my leep yet but my Dr has told me to wait 4 weeks before having intercourse after I do have it. I would call the Dr and get his opinion.

1 wk - wow that's really soon after the surgery! My doc told me to wait 1 month at least. I had my LEEP done on Dec. 9th -- My period came much quicker, lasted longer, and was terribly painful the first time, but it may be b/c the movement to get the flow of blood out irritated the wound. Advil helped. After the first one, my period returned to normal....
