Please help...Feel Alone!

Can some one please give me some advise. I'm going to start from the begining. Sorry if I misspell some words! I was 21 when I was pregnant with my first child in 2001 . I found out that I had dysplasia when I was in my first trimester. I was told by doctors that it was just in the begining stages of cervical cancer and wasn't progressing. So from there on I had to keep getting pap smears every six months. Now 4 years and two more kids later I'm still having pap smears done and my paps are still coming back abnormal. I'm so tired of dealing with this issue and it is a stress toll on me even though it isn't dangerous at this point I am still scared. My question is even if I have syrgery any kind (especially a hysterectomy) will the cancer still come back? My doctors haven't really said anything to me or given me any info about it. All they say is "It's mild, so there's nothing to worry about. See you in six months."
What is that? I mean they think it's nothing to worry about but those of us who are going throught this is worried. I don't even know what HPV means or is. I read on some of the posts that women who get cervical cancer have HPV and that it never goes away. Is that true? If so what is HPV and how do women get it? That scares me even more and that's why i asked if i had a hysterectomy will the cancer still come back? I've had all the kids i want...well i want one more but I want to wait and have it but I'm scared if I wait then wht will happen to me or what it the pre-cancerous cells turn into cancer and progress. If anyone has any info to share with me I'd really appreciate it. Please Help!

Re: Please help...Feel Alone!

HPV is a very common STD that no one seems to know about until you get it. It has several strains, one of them causing abnormal cells on the cervix. Have you ever had a colposcopy or cryosurgery done? I just had the cryo today and I'm hoping that took care of it for now. That's not to say that it won't come back, but as long as you continue with regular paps and keep a close eye on it, there's really nothing to worry about; it's very treatable.

I do understand how you feel but reading and getting as much info I could really made me feel better.
