Colposcopy Results

Hi everyone,

I am after a bit of advice from those in the know with medical jargon if poss...

Bit of background - Im 26 & had my 1st smear (pap?) in 2009 which came back as mildly abnormal, they re tested 6 months later which showed the same so i was brought back in just before Christmas for another one, this time it showed as borderline & HPV, I was booked in for a Colposcopy which I had last week & he took 2 punch biopsies (ouch), im awaiting my results which is all a bit worrying naturally!!
I received a copy of the letter they have sent to my doc saying it revealed 'aceto white & iodine negative'.
Ive had a peek at threads here & cannot find the same thing & after a good google search (which brought up a load of medical journals & baffling jargon) i thought id ask if anyone knows what this means?
I know ill get the results soon but im a worrier

They put a solution on, an acid, a vinegar solution which turns cin lesions white, which you can see on colposcopy, this is called acetowhite, ie. white shows abnormalities, also iodine is another test they use which also highlights cin as some tissue stains brown some doesnt, so he used two different methods, which if negative is good news x When I had my colposcopy my cervix turned white which I could clearly see on the screen. I hope this is helpful to you.
