Angry I am so scared :(((

    Hello

Thank you to everyone who is reading and who will reply.
I am usually a very energetic person full of life etc.. But in the last few months ive been pretty tired, couldnt figure out why.. As ridiculous as it sounds had a panic attack and was taken to emergency. They did full blood work, uti test, abdominal ultrasound and chest, abdomen and pelvic CT scan looking for lymphoma... All came back clear.
During the last 5 months my period went from normal 5 days to 2 days with clots (im on YAZ pill) thought it would correct itself.. It didnt.
Im having this very low back dull pain and some uncomfortable feeling in low pelvic areaand between my legs down there..I want to pee all the time but i have no UTI. Waiting for Pap results..
Im so scared... Im just.. I dont know what to do ;(( im very scared.

What's the timing between when you started taking the Yaz and when you started feeling badly?

Could you try going off the Yaz for a couple months or so to see if you feel better? Maybe try to find some forums on the net where they're discussing their side effects from this drug?

What else might be different over the past few months or so?

if you had those tests in your pelvis and abdomen and they didn't see anything then your problems are probably not being caused by a tumor. even if they were looking for lymphoma, the radiologist also looks for anything abnormal and would have reported anything out of what would be expected. i know what it's like to wait for test results. you can't help but think "what if??" ... hang in there though. there seems to be something going on, but like i said it doesn't sound like it's from a tumor. good luck!!

Re: I am so scared :(((

Hi dzzaika, I hope I can be a small voice of reason for you. I have just returned from the doctor after receiving a normal Pap test. Did you know that 96 out of every 100 tests are normal? Only 1 out of 100 turn out to be serious enough to warrant surgery and even then, not necessarily cancer. The odds are on your side. I have also had two transvaginal ultrasounds and a CT. The first ultrasound found a complex ovarian cyst which made a 2nd ultrasound necessary. Needless to say, it was gone, but they then found a kidney mass. The CT scan that followed found it was a cyst. Like you, I worried and worried. I have medical family (both older brothers are specialist doctors) so I am very aware of the implications of any positive result.

There are many things that can happen within our bodies and most of them are not cancer. Even if it is cancer, most cancers are treatable. My symptom is similar to yours. I have a urinary urge that only seems to subside when I lie down at night. It doesn't wake me from my sleep, but it is always there during the day. I have had several urine tests and everything seems normal.

The mind is very powerful and can sometimes make symptoms seem worse than they are. Try very hard to relax. You cannot make the results happen any faster and I am sure that you are going to be fine.
    Linda
