Re: Cats

Hi there,

Thanks so much for asking about me. I am hanging in there. I am home now, waiting to get blocked up again so that I can have my surgery. My doc still wants me to be actively blocked when he goes in, so once I get cramping/puking I will go in and have the surgery within 24 hours. He has given his home page number to the on call docs and has instructed them to call him 24/7, even if he is not on call. It is a crazy plan, but I guess it is what we have to do. Last time it took a week, so maybe on Thursday I will block up - seems to keep happening on Thursdays, for some reason. I am just glad he is letting me wait it out at home. This uncertainty has been hard on the family.

Hope all is well with you...Thanks for thinking of me!
Take care,
Cats

Re: Cats

Hi Cats,

It was good to hear from you. Well, this sounds kind of mean to hope that your start cramping/hurting but I hope that part happens soon so that you can get the surgery over with. I know it must be so hard on you and your family to wait this out. Hopefully when he does this surgery you will have a speedy recovery and be able to put this behind you. You definately deserve some healthy time.

DH had his ct yesterday, so we do the waiting game for the results. We will go in next Monday to find out if he is still NED. The main thing I am worried about is the very tiny spot they found on his lung in Nov., but at the time the oncologist wasn't worried about it.

Take good care of yourself. dee

Re: Cats

Hi there,

Thanks for thinking of me. I wish I was blocked, but so far, I'm not. (Never thought I'd be wishing for that!) My surgeon is on call this weekend, so it would be a great time to get sick.

Thanks again for thinking of me!! I will keep you posted.

Hope all is well with you!

Take care,
Cats

Re: Cats

Cats, it's the pits that you can't enjoy not being blocked, but that is kind of like taking something to be fixed and it won't do what it has been doing while you have it in the shop. Try to have a good weekend and know that I will be thinking good thoughts. dee

Re: Cats

Thanks Dee,

I am trying to keep busy - going w/the "watch pot never boils" theory.

Thanks for the support!
