Unhappy Colon cancer

I am a 38 year old female. For the past 2 years i have been struck with a series of ailments ranging from chicken pox, shingles, muscle spasms in my neck and back and a hemorroidectomy to remove fissures and external hemorroids.

It has been 4 months since the hemorridectomy and i am experiencing pain during and after bowel movements. Bleeding in my stool has returned and my stool has also gotten thinner. I am on a soft food diet because i am afraid that if i eat anything else it will affect my bowel movement. My doctor suggested that i have colonoscopy done and i am worried that i may have colon cancer.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Talking Re: Colon cancer

Get your colonoscopy done.
Takes an afternoon-ish, you will/may feel bloated for a while after.
24 hrs without eating is the hardest and not that hard.
Actually the bowel prep, on second thoughts.

I've just had 70x50x40mm(3"x2"x1.5") tumor taken out from my sigmoid, 15mm(1/2") in from the rectum.

No bag, yay.

Colon cancer runs in our family and I have been looking for signs since mum died 20 odd years ago.
Regular blood tests, check ups, fecal counts etc.

Wasn't pooing properly and (not my normal) Dr said I had piles.
This went on for a couple of years until I got my normal GP and he put me in for a colonoscopy.

Bingo, right at the start of the colon was a tumor, no where else.
And have never had piles.

Catch it early, mine was found 6 months ago and we have lost 2 friends since to cancer and another mate diagnosed at the same time is under going chemo at present.

Tumor was removed 2 months ago and at present no after surgery requirements, except another colonoscopy in a year.

Pooing not 100%, but better than the last few years, surgen has said will take about a year to fully recover.

Check early and question lots.
