Airplanes and Lungs?

I'm interested in becoming a flight attendant, but the health issues are bothering me. I found a product called Bio-oxygen which claims to help people get enough oxygen. Does anyone know if this product is useful or to what extent? Also, any advice about how to stay healthy as a flight attendant would help!

Re: Airplanes and Lungs?

There is no product that will increase your oxygen level or those of us that have lung disease would be using it and Drs. would be recommending it. If you are healthy now, don't smoke, have no history of lung problems and stay in good shape with weight training and arobic exercise you will stay healthy lung wise especially now that no smoking is allowed on planes. If you smoke do plan on a long career in the sky as O2 levels are less in planes than on the ground. They usually have about the same O2 percentages as if you were at about 7000 altitude depending on how many boosters are being used which is why many people that don't need O2 on ground need it when they fly.
