Lung cancer and MAC

Lung cancer and MAC

Have any of you that have been diagnosed with lung cancer also had dx. of mycobacterium avium complex (MAC)? I was diagnosed with MAC last year and just recently have had 2 episodes of coughing up bright red blood with clots - enough to cover a Kleenex tissue,each time. MAC is non-infectious TB and I have seen a few research papers that suggest a connection with lung cancer. Appreciate any input and I wish all of you the best - I lost my dad to lung cancer a few years ago.
