    Please Help

On Thursday I noticed a lump on my top lip. I ran my finger and tongue over it and was a lump. By the time I went to bed it felt like it went down. When I got up the next day there was a scab on it so I thought it was from me messing with it. Today the scab fell off, it is smooth but a little red spot. am terrified. I can't sleep.
Can a dermatologist look at this or do I need to see an oral surgeon?

Please help. It looks kind of like a small donut.
I was at the dentist on July 2nd and an oral surgeon for something else on May 24th. Would they have noticed? I even ask the oral surgeon to do an oral check but don't know if he looked at my lips.

Sounds like a pimple of some sort. If you are that concerned, a derm would be a place to start.

A derm would be your best bet...if there is something still there they can take a piece of it (Biopsy) to make sure it is nothing.
