    tongue cancer surgery

New here, awesome web site. If possible I need a few questions answered. I just had surgery for tongue cancer. The doctor removed half my tongue and all lymp nodes. He is very confident that he got all the cancer. Anyways, I have a few questions. First, the pain. My neck is in so much pain. I hada trech tube, which they removed. This area is also so sore. It is hard to swallow. Is all this pain normal? They didcut me from ear to ear to remove lymp nodes also. I guess this will take time to heal, but how long. I am in some serious pain. The swallowing has me worried too. I had surgery 10 days ago. Trech tube removed 4 days ago.....than you
