Incidental liver lesion on contrast CT. Invisible on ultrasound.

I just had a contrast CT of my abdomen and pelvis due to suspected ongoing colitis and the findings came back as all normal except for a 1cm diameter ill-defined hypodense lesion in segment V.

I was referred for an ultrasound to see if it was just a cyst or something and the ultrasound technician searched for ages and couldn't see anything. She said that sometimes secondary cancer from other sources will not show up on ultrasound.

I'm mid thirties with two kids under three with special needs and I am freaking out. Has anyone had a liver lesion show up on contrast CT that was invisible on ultrasound and wasn't malignant?

YUP. When going for my CT for my gallbladder a small <1 inch lesion showed up on my liver...but they couldn;t find it on the US...

I saw a liver specialist who said he would repeat the CT. He has repeated it twice now and it hasnt shown up again. They think it might have been a shadow on the scan. Apparently whatever it is/ was, isnt there any more.

On the other slide, I did wind up having my Gallbladder removed and while they were in there they did a complete scope of my female parts and my whole abdomen. They saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Its highly possible this was a big nothing. Ask to have it repeated in 6 weeks.
