Trimix questions for those that know

Looking for advice on Trimix

Had my RALP last Nov, my local URO would have given me a script for sildenafil if I requested it but he said the pump wouldn't help much and that I should just give everything time to heal on it's own.

That was not good enough for me and I had a surgeon down in Houston at MDA do my surgery and just use my local URO for follow up care.
My surgeon is a believer in the pump and the pills and set me up with a penile rehab doc in the same office area so I got a script of sildenafil from him 3 weeks out from surgery for a 20mg dose daily and 5 at a time once a week to see how I progressed over time. I hate the pump but I use it and after 4 months using the pills and the pump every once in awhile now the pump actually feels good finally and after taking a full dose of the pills 100mg I am getting an erection of about 5 on a scale of 1-10 so I feel like I am progressing and at this point happy with the progress.
Went back to the rehab doc yesterday and did the ultra sound on my valves without the injection then he injected me and waited about 5 minutes and ultra sounded me again and said that the valves on one side working great and the other side was working but not quite as well.
The doc said it was from the surgery but I should respond well with the shots and while I was talking to him my penis was getting harder and harder and he said within an hour or so it should start coming back down and turned us loose to go home.
By this time it was starting to get painful but he told me that would improve with time so I left his office.
Walking around in the hospital I got kind of spooked about how hard I was and how it was hurting so instead of leaving right away we waited in the cafeteria for about 20 minutes and then I decided to go ahead and leave and drive down the street to McDonalds for some breakfast and before we got there we saw a CVS and thought before I drive 7 hours home maybe we should get some Sudafed just in case and I got to say it was uncomfortable walking around in public like that.
Went to McD's and ate breakfast but got spooked from the pain and it had been about an hour and a half by now and to me it seemed like my penis was continuing to get harder and harder.
We panicked after breakfast and I took 4 sudafeds and after about another 30 minutes it finally started calming down. Took about another hour for the pain to subside.
My questions are could the fact my penis felt like it was going to pop like a balloon be caused by just the medicine or maybe the fact that it was so hard that it was causing the pain.
They gave me 10cc for a starting dosage and told me I could go up to 50 if I needed but at 10cc I thought I was going to explode.
My thought now is maybe the next time on my own I take only 3cc to see what that's like and work my way up from there if I need to, maybe I don't need near 10cc of trimix.
I don't want to give up on it already but if it's going to always be the way the first time was it's not going to work for me.
The needle poke was no big deal but the pain from either being so hard a cat couldn't scratch it or the medication I don't know.

Looking for help from the guys out there that have experience with this.

If it is painful stop!

Also, you can adjust your dosage. The least amount necessary is where you want to be. Cut the dosage in half, or more, from what he gave you in the office and work your way up slowly. No harm done if little or nothing happens. You can always increase the dosage the next time.

I had a Peyronies disease reaction. I may have already had it and didn't know it because there was no apparent deformity. I am left with a permament deformity, minor, but unwanted none the less. It could have been worse if I had not stopped. While my doctor was unaware of it causing Peyronies, I believe it either caused it for me, or minimally, it exposed it.

I ended up giving myself 4 or 5 injections. Each getting worse. It is my most serious mistep in dealing with this cancer.

Proceed cautiously and moderately. Most guys have positive experiences. I did not. The irony for me was the ED eventually resolved itself with time. I was too impatient.

It was serviceable within a year and has continued to improve. Nerve regeneration takes much longer than other tissue.

The deformity was some bottlenecking at the base of the penis at the site of the injections.

Thanks for the reply.
Going to cut it in at least half next time.
If it continues to be painful like the first time it’s not going to work for me.

When you inject the next time and the erection occurs look at the site of the first injection. Look for any signs of deformity; a small divot or depression, a curve beginning, etc.

Just curious how bad is the injection? I guess that's where I'm headed next.

It is a piece of cake! The injection is nothing more than a “prick” and the results are amazing. Play with the dose to find the correct balance and everything will be fine.

I suppose that is the final frontier in modesty loss....having some other dude inject my pecker with a needle and then watch it grow. Times like this I wish I'd have chosen a good looking female doctor. 😁

The needle stick itself was no big deal but the whole appointment was weird to say the least.
I hope my issue is the fact that I got to much but I don't know that yet.
I did get my script filled and need to find the time to try again with a much lower dose to see how that goes.

If you have Peyronies the drug is not recommended and the manufacturer explicity calls for not using their product.

Peyronies typically manaifests itself as a curve in the penis.

hard lumps on one or more sides of the penis.
pain during sexual intercourse or during an erection.
a curve in the penis with or without an erection.
changes in the shape of the penis, such as narrowing or shortening.
ED.
Re: Trimix questions for those that know

Well last night I got brave enough to stick myself with Trimix for the first time.
I used 4 units this time not the 10 they used on me in the hospital.
It worked and we were happy for the first hour then the pain started up and lasted for the next hour and half until things started to subside, erection lasted about 2 and half hours.
The needle wasn't bad to deal with at all, might try one more time and take Tylenol ahead of time to see if that helps and maybe bring my dose down to 3 units.
If I can't figure out how to lessen the pain this is not going to work for me.
Need to find a Penile Rehab guy around here.

Watch very closely for any deformity no matter how small around the site of the injections or in general. Pain is not normal and got increasingly worse for me.

Re: Trimix questions for those that know

I had a Dr. in the Houston Medical Center and had the same experience with my first and second Trimix treatment. The Dr. explained that there was a bit of trial and error to get the dosing correct especially if you are mixing it with viagra. My first priapism lasted almost 3 hours ...not something I want to repeat. The doc said that the pain was a combination of the drug and the fact that I hadn't had a full erection in months ...the tissues was stretching back out.

I only used Trimix 4 times. Approximately 9 months after surgery I began getting spontaneous erections with just 5 mg of cialis. Those were painful as well for a while.

Best of luck to you.

Maybe I shouldn't be worried about little movement in that area. I managed to get a 50%-60%' er at 2 months from surgery but little else. If we work real hard we can get some reaction but it's far from an erection. I guess I will just have to be patient.

Re: Trimix questions for those that know

Talked to my local URO about it wed while getting blood drawn for my second psa check after surgery.
I think I knew more about injections than he did, he's not going to be any help with this part of the recovery.
I am going to cut my dose in half again which will bring it to 2 units or .02ml I think. That is barely a drop in the syringe and see how that goes.
If I still get a rock hard erection with that little of an amount then me and the wife will take advantage of it then not wait for it to subside, I will take sudifed soon as we are done and see how that works out.
So far I can not see any marks or dents or bruises from the needle, so so far so good I guess.
