Blood in urine 2 years post radiation

Did anyone else have radiation scars that would cause blood in urine? I've had issue going on for 2-3 months now. Seen Dr. at UF Shands cystoscope, said, nothing to worry about, but it isn't them that is peeing blood. Will it go away or will I wind up w/complications and have a bag? No signature yet, but had prostectomy, radiation and lupron. PSA still at less than .01.

redbell7, I also had a bout with gross hematuria little more than 2 years out from EBRT. Mine was only at the very last point in the stream. Not every time and I went the a bunch of testing cystoscope, mri with contrast. They found noting but a thinken bladder wall. Wash out the bladder with a soulution and I've been good ever since. Dec will be a year.

It's probably nothing to be overly concerned about.

I also believe, that with radiation treatments, side effects tend to happen a couple years after the treatment, so this is probably not a big surprise or concern.

    Good luck!

I am not quite sure I recalled the doctor saying the did some kind of bladder wash with a solution. There are so many of these types of wash solutions for different things. I am thinking it was for cancer, they wash the bladder and recollect the fluid for testing. These days if you have good insurance the do anything they can get away with so long as they get paid.
I will se if I have paperwork.
