too much omega 3 causes prostate cancer? pls help

hi, i read somewhere on the net that too much omega 3 can cause prostate cancer? i wanted to take flaxseed oil (which has lots of omega 3) for acne, oily skin, and seborrheic dermatitis. but after reading this, im not really sure if i will take this. i also read that you can prevent this if you get the right ratio. meaning, you should also take omega 6 in larger amounts.

pls help me!!! i wanted to take flaxseed oil so much!

your replies would be GREATLY appreciated.

here's the information i got from the internet:

The omega-3 fatty acids can be highly protective against heart disease. Flaxseed oil and fish oil are two concentrated sources of omega-3 fatty acids. However, some scientific evidence has caused me concern about recommending flaxseed oil because it may accelerate the progression of prostate cancer. Fish oil, in contrast, does not seem to have this harmful effect on prostate cancer.

Flaxseed oil is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid, which has been shown to be beneficial in both heart disease and breast cancer. However, according to Charles E. Myers Jr., MD, a well-respected researcher at the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, "Clinical studies that are available suggest that alpha-linolenic acid may actually be dangerous for prostate cancer patients."

As he goes on to say, "There are now six epidemiology studies that have examined the association between dietary alpha-linolenic acid and risk of prostate cancer. Five out of six of these studies found an increase in the risk of prostate cancer associated with alpha-linolenic acid. I should also note that our laboratory, as well as others, found that alpha-linolenic acid is one of the most powerful growth stimuli for human prostate cancer cells."

Thus, I now recommend fish oil rather than flaxseed oil for men and either for women. The same applies to flaxseed meal as well as the oil, although flaxseed contains a number of phytochemicals, such as lignans, that are of potential value. One of the major lignans in flaxseed is secoisolariciresinol, a phytoestrogen and antioxidant. However, you can get these phytoestrogens in other foods, such as soy, without the potential problems of flaxseed and flaxseed oil.

Fish Oils are fantastic. If a person has cancer they should take 4,000mg of fish oil daily, continually. It cannot hurt you. If you have cancer and eat beef and daily products your cancer will not improve ; you have to take fish oils
and purify your body. Cancer cannot exist in an alkaline body. You have to make it acidic by taking omega 3 fatty ACIDS and CORAL CALIUM, 6 daily .
Take those supplements, knock off all beef and dairy, eat as many raw foods as possible, don't touch anything processed (in a box food) and take a lot of
Garlic Powder caps, raw cloves being the very best garlic. Drink plenty of pure water, drink fresh carrot juice 3 times a day, no beef, lots of SPIRULINA AND CORAL CALCIUM AND NO BEEF. Spirulina has much more *complete protein than beef anyway. The kind from Hawaii is probably the best kind. Sardines are fabulous for omega 3's.
I had a girlfriend with breast cancer diagnosed 2 years before her death.
Each time we spoke she was getting ready to cook hamburgers on the grill.
Eat a lot of broccoli ; if you can't stand it buy broccoli sprouts; nothing is better for you than broccoli sprouts and spirulina. THINK DARK GREEN.
ANYTHING DARK GREEN should be your goal. You can buy broccoli capsules. The less cooked food, the better. Drop white sugar, white flour. No nutrition there. Think brown bread, brown rice, whole wheat flour/breads.
Cancer treatments kill more than they cure. Plus, if you live after chemo and radiation and are "in remission" it often comes back a year or two later.
The whole idea is to make your body so purified that cancer cannot grow..
The answers are out there to investigate; read them and put them into practice. Get rid of stress, join a yoga class, learn to meditate, never watch violence or loud music shows or comedy before bed. Watch "Conversations with Remarkable People" on the Wisdom network and "Innerviews."
Without meat and dairy you'll lose weight, clean out your system , (spirulina removes heavy metals from the body) , read spiritually oriented books at bedtime. You will find that with only 6 spirulina tablets a day you will sleep thru the night after one week (6-8 hours without awakening).
I hope this helps.
