PSA Jump at 37

Curry and others,

I am 37 and recently had a scare due to my PSA jump.

Since last year , i am on anti-hypertensive medicine and in April 2010 i was diagnosed with Prostate Enlargement. My PSA at that time was 1.73.

In July 2010, the doc ordered PSA again which was at 2.85. Considering the jump of 1 in 3 months, he ordered a biopsy. I was tense until the results came out. He took 10 samples and the biospy came out all clear. Another reason doc ordered biopsy was because of my father aged 71 just got diagnosed with PC ( Gleason 2+3). He also had enlarged prostate for 2 years.

The doc now suggests that i take antibiotics for 5 weeks and repeat PSA after 3months. If there is further jump, he wants to do a more agressive biopsy again ( more samples).

I am curious to know the following from this board and Curry and would be very thankful:

- What treatment option did Curry finally choose and why?

- Any advice for me please

Thanks a ton in advance
